Who would nomally play Juliet Capulet in romeo and a man or woman?

In traditional theatre productions, Juliet Capulet is typically played by a woman. This is because the role is written for a female character, and actresses are usually cast in female roles. However, there have been some instances in which men have played Juliet, such as in Adrian Noble's 1997 production of Romeo and Juliet at the Royal Shakespeare Company. In these cases, the actor playing Juliet typically cross-dresses as a woman.
