How to Make a Fairy Hairstyle

Don't despair if you have created a fairy costume and are struggling to come up with a hairstyle to match your outfit. Fairies are graceful, ethereal creatures that have been associated with the elements of nature. The key is to give your hair a touch of otherworldly glamor that compliments your natural beauty. You can take cues from your outfit and incorporate them into your hairstyle to create a beautiful effect whether you are playing a fairy in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" or you are dressing up for a Halloween dance.

Instructions

    • 1

Part your hair into two equal sections with the brush so there is an even amount of hair on each side of the head.

    • 2

Separate the hair on the right side of the head into three parts. Wrap a hair tie around each part to keep the hair in each section together. Repeat on the left side of your head.

    • 3

Remove the hair tie from one section. Cut one flower stem with flowers on the end of it. Take half of the hair from the loose section and braid one-third of it.

    • 4

Hold the stem of the flower against one of the three sections of the hair you are using to make the braid and continue braiding. This will embed the flower in the braid.

    • 5

Continue making the braid until you are two-thirds of the way to the tips and braid in another flower stem.

    • 6

Finish your braid and use the hair tie you removed earlier to wrap the end of the braid and keep it from unraveling. Repeat for the remaining five tied up sections.

    • 7

Mist your hair with a glitter hair or body spray.
