Were any other characters real in shakespeare?

While William Shakespeare based many of his characters on real historical figures, very few of his fictional characters were actually real people. This is because he drew inspiration from a wide range of sources, including history, mythology, and literature. For example, the characters of Hamlet, Othello, and King Lear are all believed to be fictional creations. However, there are a few exceptions. For instance, the character of Falstaff in Henry IV and The Merry Wives of Windsor is based on a real person, Sir John Oldcastle.
