When was the foundation of original Globe theatre discovered?

The foundation of the original Globe Theatre was discovered in 1989 by a team of archaeologists led by Dr. John Schofield. The theatre was originally constructed in 1599 by a group of actors known as the Lord Chamberlain's Men, which included William Shakespeare. The theatre was destroyed by fire in 1613 and was rebuilt the following year. The archaeological team discovered the remains of the original Globe Theatre while excavating the site of the modern Globe Theatre, which was built in 1997.
