How to Make Dragon Breathe Smoke

Whether constructing a dragon for a parade float, a Halloween display or for a theatrical presentation, presenting the dragon with smoke exhaling from its mouth is an effect that will wow all onlookers. After constructing the dragon with a sturdy frame, insert a smoke-blowing device that has a timer or push-button attachment to make the dragon breath smoke on cue. There are nontoxic fog machines available for residential use.

  • Residential fog machine
  • Timer remote
  • Flexible hosing
  • Duct tape

Instructions

    • 1

      Place a fog machine inside the body of the large display dragon and attach a flexible hose around the nozzle of the device using duct tape.

      Attach the timer remote with an extended cord to the fog machine and stretch the remote under the dragon to an accessible area.

      Stretch the other end of the flexible hose to the mouth section of the dragon and secure it to the bottom of the mouth with duct tape. Ensure that the hose cannot be seen for full effect.

      Follow the manufacturer's instructions regarding the time necessary to warm up the fog machine. When the fog machine is ready, press the button to make fog come from the dragon's mouth.
