Instructions

    • 1

Choose a location to stage your talent show. If setting up in an area with an actual stage, such as an auditorium or theater, this is ideal. However, if you are staging the show at home select an area that is large enough to accommodate guests, such as a portion of the yard.

    • 2

Rent risers if you intend to have a group of people on stage. These are platforms that sit a foot or two off the ground, which allow the performers to be above the audience.

    • 3

Drill screws into lengths of fence board until you form a square-shaped frame.

    • 4

Attach lengths of 2-by-4 to the bottom feet of the frame to support the whole frame.

    • 5

Hang colored fabric from the top of the frame with clips to give the illusion of a wall. This frame can also be moved on and off stage quickly. If you would like to make an actual wall out of the frame then proceed to the next step.

    • 6

Cut a section of plywood to match the dimensions of the frame.

    • 7

Paint the plywood the color of your choosing. If you want to give the effect of a room try painting windows on the plywood as well as giving it a solid coating of wall paint.

    • 8

Attach the plywood to the frame with screws. Repeat these steps for any other walls you would like to create for the sets.
