Act 1:
The story begins in Venice during the 18th century. Casanova is introduced as a charming and charismatic man who enjoys the pleasures of life, especially love and adventure. He is secretly in love with a married woman named Barbara, but their relationship is complicated.
Act 2:
Casanova travels to Paris, where he meets and falls in love with Henriette, a beautiful courtesan. However, their romance is short-lived as Casanova is forced to flee due to a scandal. He then embarks on a series of journeys across Europe, encountering various women and romantic entanglements along the way.
Act 3:
Casanova eventually returns to Venice, where he is reunited with Barbara. By this time, she is no longer married and they are able to freely pursue their love. The operetta ends with a joyous celebration of their newfound happiness and Casanova's reputation as a legendary lover is solidified.
