How did Asa butterfield get his start in movies?

Asa Butterfield started acting at the age of seven for short films shot by his father Sam. It was during one of these films that he was invited to audition for the part of Bruno in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (2008). The part turned out to be his film debut which earned him several award nominations as Best Young Actor from various critics' bodies like British Independent Film Awards.
