How did Bella Thorne get started in acting?

Bella Thorne began acting at a young age, appearing in commercials and small television roles. In 2003, she landed her breakthrough role as Margaux Darling on the Disney Channel series "Shake It Up." The series, which also starred Zendaya, was a huge success and aired for three seasons. Thorne's performance on the show earned her several award nominations, including a Young Artist Award.

After "Shake It Up" ended, Thorne continued to act in both television and film. She starred in the Disney Channel movies "Frenemies" (2012), "The Duff" (2015), and "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip" (2015). She also had a recurring role on the Freeform series "The Fosters" from 2014 to 2016.
