How much do actors get paid per hour?
Actors' salaries vary widely depending on their experience, the type of production they are working on, and the union they belong to. In the United States, actors in the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) are paid a minimum of $1,875 per day for a non-union project, and $3,651 per day for a union project. Actors in the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) are paid a minimum of $1,750 per day for a non-union project, and $3,400 per day for a union project.
Actors who are not members of a union may be paid less than these minimums. For example, actors who work on student films or low-budget independent films may only be paid a few hundred dollars per day. Actors who work on commercials may be paid more, with some earning up to $100,000 per day.
