Michael Edward-Stevens was born on May 30, 1940, in Newark, New Jersey. He began his career as a singer in the early 1960s, performing in various nightclubs and recording several singles. He later moved into acting, appearing in stage productions, television shows, and films.
Edward-Stevens made his acting debut in the 1966 film "The Cool Ones". He went on to appear in a number of other films, including "Cleopatra Jones" (1973), "The Monkey Hu$tle" (1976), and "Car Wash" (1976). He was also a regular on several television shows, including "The Flip Wilson Show" (1970-1974) and "Sanford and Son" (1972-1977).
In addition to his acting and singing career, Edward-Stevens was also a successful businessman. He owned several businesses, including a record label and a clothing store. He also worked as a producer and director.
Edward-Stevens died on July 21, 2022, at the age of 82. He had been battling health issues for several years. He is survived by his wife, Paula Kelly, and their two children.
