Who introduced Johnny Depp to acting?

Johnny Depp's introduction to acting was a bit of a roundabout story, but it ultimately involved his first wife, Lori Anne Allison.

Lori, a makeup artist, was working on the film "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and encouraged Johnny to audition for a small part. He got the role, and that's how he officially entered the world of acting.

However, it's important to note that Johnny was already interested in acting before meeting Lori. He had played guitar in a band and moved to Los Angeles with the dream of becoming a musician. His first foray into acting was actually in 1984 when he landed a role in "A Private War" while still married to Lori.

So, while Lori helped him get his foot in the door of the industry, Johnny's interest in acting was already there.
