What happens at the end of avatar movie?

At the end of the first *Avatar* movie:

* Jake Sully and Neytiri defeat the human forces. After a fierce battle in which the Na'vi manage to leverage their knowledge of the forest and their connection to Eywa, they drive the humans back.

* The human base, Hell's Gate, is destroyed. The Na'vi, with the help of Eywa, unleash a devastating attack that obliterates the base and kills many human soldiers.

* Colonel Miles Quaritch is presumed dead. Though the movie doesn't explicitly show his death, he is last seen battling Jake and falling off a cliff.

* Jake and Neytiri become fully integrated into the Na'vi society. They are now seen as true members of the tribe, having proven their loyalty and courage.

* The humans are forced to retreat from Pandora. With their base destroyed and facing overwhelming opposition, the remaining human forces are left with no choice but to withdraw.

* The Na'vi are left to rebuild and protect Pandora. They have successfully defended their home and secured a future for their people.

The ending leaves a sense of hope for the Na'vi and a warning for humanity, emphasizing the importance of respecting nature and understanding different cultures.

However, it's important to note:

* The sequel, *Avatar: The Way of Water*, reveals that Colonel Quaritch survived and has been resurrected in a Na'vi body. This sets the stage for a new conflict, which will likely be explored further in the upcoming sequels.

* The ending also leaves the question of whether humans will ultimately learn from their mistakes and find a way to coexist peacefully with the Na'vi.

Ultimately, the ending of the first *Avatar* is a powerful statement about the dangers of colonialism and the importance of environmental protection, while also offering a glimmer of hope for a brighter future.
