Where did m shadows get his stage name?

The lead singer of Avenged Sevenfold, M. Shadows, got his stage name from attending high school with other Avenged Sevenfold band members whom would frequently make fun of a birthmark Shadow has and began referring to him as Matt Shadows, hence the abbreviation to what his fans know him as M. Shadows.
