How big are puppets?

The size of puppets can vary greatly depending on the type of puppet and the purpose for which they are used. Some puppets are very small, such as finger puppets, which are designed to be worn on the fingers and are typically a few inches in size. Other puppets are much larger, such as marionettes or bunraku puppets, which can be several feet tall and require multiple puppeteers to operate.

Here are some common sizes for different types of puppets:

- Finger puppets: Typically around 2-3 inches tall.

- Hand puppets: Usually range from 6-12 inches tall.

- Muppet-style puppets: Generally between 12-24 inches tall.

- Rod puppets: Can vary in size, but often stand around 18-36 inches tall.

- Shadow puppets: Usually flat and range from a few inches to several feet in size.

- Marionettes: Can be quite large, with some ranging from 2-4 feet tall, or even larger in the case of giant marionettes used in parades or stage productions.
