Who plays bane in the George Clooney batman?

The character Bane was not in the George Clooney Batman film, "Batman & Robin" (1997).

While the character was in the comics, he wasn't featured in that particular film. It was "The Dark Knight Rises" (2012) where Bane was played by Tom Hardy.
