Kevin Clash was accused of sexual misconduct with underage boys.
In 2012, several men came forward to accuse Clash of sexual misconduct. One man, identified only as "Cecil", alleged that Clash had engaged in a sexual relationship with him when he was 16 years old. Another man, identified as "Kevin", alleged that Clash had made sexual advances toward him when he was 15 years old.
Clash denied the allegations, and the Sesame Street Workshop initially stood by him. However, as the allegations continued to mount, the Sesame Street Workshop announced in November 2012 that Clash had taken a leave of absence from the show.
In February 2013, Clash announced that he was resigning from the Sesame Street Workshop, and he has not been involved with the show since.
The allegations against Clash have not been proven in court, but they have severely damaged his reputation and career. He is unlikely to ever return to the public eye.
