What will happen to the pitch that Jerry hears as tuning fork swings toward him and away from him?

As the tuning fork swings toward Jerry, the sound waves emitted by the tuning fork will be compressed, resulting in an increase in frequency and a higher pitch. This phenomenon is known as the Doppler effect. As the tuning fork swings away from Jerry, the sound waves will be stretched out, resulting in a decrease in frequency and a lower pitch. This change in pitch will be most noticeable when the tuning fork is moving directly toward or away from Jerry. As the tuning fork moves at an angle to Jerry, the Doppler effect will be less pronounced, but still noticeable.
