Why did Shakespeare do most of his plays in the Globe Theatre?
William Shakespeare wrote many of his plays for performances at the Globe Theatre, but not the majority. Shakespeare wrote approximately 38 plays; it's estimated the Globe hosted about 15 Shakespeare plays during its operation from 1599 to 1613. Plays associated with the Globe include the following:
