Where were the theatres built in London time?

In London, a majority of the theatres are located in the West End, specifically around Covent Garden, Leicester Square, and Shaftesbury Avenue. This area has been known as the heart of London's theatre scene since the 17th century.

Many of the most iconic and historic theatres, such as the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, the Royal Opera House, and the Adelphi Theatre, are situated within the West End. It's worth noting that over time, some theatres have also been built outside of this central area, such as the Barbican Theatre and the Globe Theatre, a reconstruction of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, which is located on the Southbank.
