Who is alonso in the tempest?
In William Shakespeare's play "The Tempest", Alonso is the King of Naples. He is on a ship with his son Ferdinand, daughter Claribel, brother Sebastian, and other nobles when a tempest sinks the ship, causing him to believe his son has drowned. Alonso is later reunited with Ferdinand during the play and eventually agrees to his love for Miranda (daughter of the sorcerer Prospero), despite Ferdinand's lower social status
