Act 2
Scene 5: (Joseph shares his dreams with his family)
Joseph: (enthusiastically) "I had a dream! I was surrounded by sheaves of wheat bowing down to mine!"
Brothers: (scoffing) "Ridiculous! What do your dreams mean?"
Scene 6: (The brothers decide to sell Joseph to merchants)
Brothers: (planning) "Let's sell him off to Midianites, let him dream his silly dreams elsewhere."
Scene 7: (Joseph is taken to Egypt, sold as a slave)
Potiphar: (examining Joseph) "Strong and able, he shall serve in my household."
Joseph: (resolving) "I will be loyal and faithful, though away from home."
Act 3
Scene 8: (Joseph's trials and faithfulness in Potiphar's house)
Joseph: (standing strong) "I will not yield to temptation, for I serve a higher purpose."
Scene 9: (Potiphar's wife falsely accuses Joseph)
Potiphar's wife: (scheming) "This Hebrew slave tried to take advantage of me!"
Potiphar: (furious) "Let him be thrown into prison, where he belongs!"
Scene 10: (Joseph interprets dreams in prison)
Cupbearer: (desperate) "Help us interpret our dreams, oh wise Joseph."
Joseph: (prophesying) "For you, freedom awaits, and for the baker, doom's fate."
Act 4
Scene 11: (Pharaoh's troubling dreams)
Pharaoh: (worried) "My dreams haunt me, none can decipher them."
Scene 12: (The cupbearer remembers Joseph and recommends him to Pharaoh)
Cupbearer: (urging) "Your highness, there's a man in prison, skilled in dream interpretations."
Scene 13: (Joseph is brought before Pharaoh)
Pharaoh: (impressed) "You dare stand before me, the slave who interprets dreams?"
Joseph: (boldly) "I stand here, not by my own skill, but by the divine presence that guides me."
Scene 14: (Joseph interprets Pharaoh's dreams)
Joseph: (wisely) "Your dreams foretell of plenty and famine, Pharaoh. Prepare your kingdom accordingly."
Act 5
Scene 15: (Joseph is honored and given a position of power)
Pharaoh: (gratitude) "You have spoken wisely, Joseph. You shall be second only to me in all the land."
Scene 16: (Joseph's brothers come to Egypt during the famine)
Brothers: (regretful) "We never imagined we would see Egypt, nor that our brother would be its ruler."
Scene 17: (Joseph reveals himself to his brothers)
Joseph: (embrace) "Brothers, I am Joseph, the one you once despised. But I forgave you, for we are united as family."
Scene 18: (The family reunited, Jacob also brought to Egypt)
Jacob: (overwhelmed) "My beloved son, reunited we are, thanks to the dreams and the divine."
Scene 19: (Narrator concluding the tale)
Narrator: "And so, the tale of Joseph, the dreamer, the faithful, and the forgiving, ends with love, forgiveness, and a promise of a brighter future."
