From what is maraca made?

A maraca is a percussion instrument that consists of a hollow vessel filled with small, loose objects such as seeds or beans. The vessel is typically made from a natural material such as wood, gourd, or coconut shell, and is decorated with beads, feathers, or other materials. Maracas are played by shaking them, which causes the loose objects inside to move and strike against the sides of the vessel, producing a rattling sound. Maracas are often used in Latin American and Caribbean music, and are also popular as children's toys.
