How to Empty a Cache in Opera

Opera is a free web browser available for PCs, Mac and Linux computers that allows users to personalize searches and favorite websites, manage passwords and delete private data. Opera's cache stores HTML pages and images during the initial visit to a website and loads the page during each subsequent visit from the cache for faster web surfing. It is beneficial to periodically empty Opera's cache because, over time, a large cache file can slow your browser's performance.

Instructions

    • 1

Open Opera and select "Menu" from the main menu toolbar and click "Tools."

    • 2

Point your cursor right and down to highlight "Private data."

    • 3

Move your cursor to the right and select "Delete cache." You can also delete your history and cookies from the "Private data." dialog.
