Who holds the record for shortest opera overture and which was it from?

The shortest opera overture on record is for _Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda_, composed by Claudio Monteverdi in 1624.

The overture is only nine bars long and consists of a simple chord progression. It is believed that Monteverdi wrote the overture in this way to create a sense of urgency and excitement before the opera begins.
