Why did Juan Gabriel compose the song Amor Eterno for Rocio Durcal?

Juan Gabriel did not compose "Amor Eterno" for Rocio Durcal. It was actually composed by him while mourning the death of his mother, Victoria Valadez Rojas in 1974.
