What does Glinda want from Dorothy in Wizard of

In the classic novel and film "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," Glinda the Good Witch initially does not want anything from Dorothy. She greets Dorothy upon her arrival in the Land of Oz and provides guidance and protection, becoming a trusted ally throughout her journey.

Glinda's primary desire is to ensure that Dorothy finds the way back to her home in Kansas. She instructs Dorothy on the path she should follow, leading to her eventual journey along the Yellow Brick Road and her encounters with various characters and obstacles along the way.

As Dorothy encounters challenges and adversaries in the Land of Oz, Glinda offers support and advice, sometimes appearing in surprising ways to lend a hand. She is not depicted as seeking anything from Dorothy in return but rather acts as a benevolent guide and protector.
