How does Glinda the good witch of north protect Dorothy in The Wizard Oz?

In the classic movie The Wizard of Oz, Glinda is not the Good Witch of the North, but the Good Witch of the South. She does protect Dorothy in various ways, including:

- Giving Dorothy a pair of magic slippers that would take her to the place she wanted most.

- Guiding her to follow the yellow brick road to find the Wizard of Oz, who Dorothy believes can help her get back home to Kansas.

- Warning her about the dangers that lie ahead, including the Wicked Witch of the West who wants to steal the magic slippers.

- Providing her with courage by reassuring Dorothy that she already possesses the strength and intelligence needed to overcome obstacles and find her way home.

It is the Good Witch of the North, not Glinda, who protects Dorothy from the Wicked Witch of the West's henchmen, the Winkies, and the winged monkeys.
