1928: Produces the hit musical, "Oh, Kay."
1930: Writes "An American in Paris," a famous orchestral piece.
1931: Produces the successful musical, "Of Thee I Sing," for which he wins the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
1932: Writes the film score for the movie, "Shall We Dance."
1935: Produces his final Broadway musical, "Porgy and Bess."
1937: Dies at the age of 38 from a brain tumor.
