What does Mercutio mean when he says I talk of dreams which are the children an idle brain?

In Act I, Scene IV, Mercutio is chiding Romeo for being lovesick. He uses imagery to compare Romeo to an idle brain that creates unrealistic dreams. Mercutio is essentially telling Romeo that he is wasting his time thinking about love and that he should get on with his life.
