When Romeo says I must be gone and live or stay die what are the two ideas is contradiction?

In "Romeo and Juliet," act 3 scene 3 when Rome exclaims "I must be gone and live, or stay and die," he expresses two contradictory ideas:

1. Departing from Verona to escape imminent danger and find a way to be with Juliet eventually: If Romeo chooses to leave Verona, he will have the chance to continue living and reunite with Juliet at a later time when circumstances are more favorable.

2. Remaining in Verona and accepting his banishment, which would ultimately lead to his death: By staying in Verona despite the risk of being discovered, Romeo's life will be in jeopardy, potentially resulting in his death.
