What are the similarities between pavlov and freud?

Similarities between Pavlov and Freud

* Both Pavlov and Freud were interested in the role of the unconscious mind in human behavior. Pavlov's work on classical conditioning showed how stimuli that are paired with rewards or punishments can become associated with those rewards or punishments and trigger the same responses even in the absence of the original stimulus. Freud's work on psychoanalysis showed how childhood experiences and unconscious desires can continue to influence adult behavior, even if those experiences and desires are not consciously remembered.

* Both Pavlov and Freud believed that behavior is driven by internal forces. Pavlov believed that behavior is driven by reflexes, which are automatic responses to stimuli. Freud believed that behavior is driven by unconscious desires and conflicts.

* Both Pavlov and Freud used experimental methods to study human behavior. Pavlov's experiments on classical conditioning were based on carefully controlled laboratory experiments. Freud's psychoanalytic theories were based on his case studies of patients with mental disorders.
