The Roman senator Cato the Elder would always finish his speeches in the Roman senate to advise war with their rival, Carthage even if those speeches had nothing to do with Carthage. As a result Cato became famous for ending everything he did (not just his speeches) by saying ''Ceterum censeo Carthaginem esse delendam" or 'Furthermore, I think Carthage must be destroyed."
