What does Paris and Capulet want?
In William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet", Paris is a kinsman of the Prince of Verona and desires to be Juliet's husband. On the other hand, Capulet is Juliet's father and wants her to wed County Paris, as he sees this union as bringing social and political prominence to their family. However, Capulet does not truly understand Juliet's feelings towards the marriage alliance with Paris or her prior involvement with Romeo which ultimately creates turmoil within the play.
