What happens in scene five act one of Romeo and Juliet?

In scene five act one of Romeo and Juliet, the Capulet family is holding a grand masquerade ball. Romeo, disguised as a monk, sneaks into the Capulet household to see Juliet. He is quickly smitten by her beauty and grace, and they both fall instantly in love. Tybalt, Juliet's cousin, recognizes Romeo and becomes enraged, leading to a tense confrontation between the Capulet family and Romeo's friend, Mercutio. To prevent further violence, Lord Capulet orders everyone to dance.
