What is punishment for killing King Laius?

The punishment for killing King Laius was a curse placed on the murderer by the oracle of Delphi. The curse stated that the murderer would be hounded by the Erinyes, or Furies, until he was brought to justice and punished. The Furies were relentless and would not stop until the murderer had been punished for his crime.
