What happened to Eurydice in the end of play?
Eurydice dies at the end of the play. After Orpheus fails to bring her back from the underworld, she is taken back to the underworld and becomes a "shadowy Eurydice" who cannot be seen by Orpheus or anyone else. She is only allowed to be seen by the Messenger, who is the conduit between the gods and the living. Eurydice is ultimately a tragic figure who is unable to escape her fate.
