What does corpsing mean in drama?

In drama, "corpsing" refers to an actor unexpectedly laughing or breaking character during a performance. It can be a result of finding a scene or situation hilariously funny, being tickled by a fellow cast member, or simply losing focus and concentration during a serious moment. Corpsing can disrupt the flow of a performance and distract the audience, so actors are expected to maintain their composure and stay in character throughout the show.
