On desperate housewives what happened with Dylan?

In the sixth season of Desperate Housewives, Dylan Mayfair is shown to be an adult living with his mother Katherine. He returns to Fairview without knowledge that his real father is Rex Van De Kamp. Eventually he learns the truth and becomes very angry with Katherine. He later meets Julie Mayer and they go on a few dates.

In season 7 Dylan and Julie get married and move in together. They are struggling financially and in the next season, they sell their house and leave Fairview.
