What does gait mean in drama?

Gait refers to the manner of walking or moving of a person or animal. In drama, an actor's gait can contribute to characterization and help convey emotions or personality traits.

For example, a character with a slow and deliberate gait might appear dignified or contemplative, while a character with a quick and energetic gait might come across as confident or eager. Actors work on developing and utilizing different gaits to enhance their performances and bring depth to their characters.
