When was drama first invented?
The earliest origins of drama can be traced back to ancient Greece in the 6th century BCE. The first forms of drama were choral performances, where a chorus of singers and dancers would tell stories through song and dance. These performances were often religious in nature and were held in honor of the gods. Over time, these choral performances evolved into more complex forms of drama, including tragedies and comedies. By the 5th century BCE, drama had become a major form of entertainment in Greece, and playwrights such as Sophocles, Euripides, and Aristophanes were writing some of the most influential plays of all time.
