Man, filming this movie is wild! It's like being in my own book, but with actual cameras and stuff. The only problem is, I'm not really sure what to do with this whole acting thing. I mean, sure, I'm good at making faces and stuff, but actually playing Greg is way harder than it looks. Plus, everyone's so nice to me on set, it's almost embarrassing. I guess I'll get used to it...eventually.
Rodrick Heffley (Devon Bostick):

This movie thing isn't so bad. Sure, it's kinda lame acting like I'm still a teenager, but I'm getting free food and the director always seems to be laughing at my jokes. Plus, everyone's always asking me for my autograph. I'm kinda famous now, it's pretty sweet. Maybe I should start a band and get on tour. I bet the girls would love that.

Being on set is so much fun! I get to play with all these cool toys, and everyone always gives me extra snacks. I even get to wear all these different costumes, like a pirate and a ninja. The only thing is, sometimes I get tired of having my diaper changed on camera. I mean, who actually does that in front of everyone? Still, I'm gonna be a big star, just you wait!

Filming this movie is kind of weird. I mean, I never thought I'd be in a movie, let alone one based on a book. It's interesting to see how everyone works together, but it's also kinda strange to be acting like I'm friends with Greg. He's a lot different from the Greg in the books. He's actually pretty nice in real life! Who knew?

Being Rowley is awesome! Everyone's always laughing at my jokes, and Greg's actually being pretty cool to me. I mean, he even lets me use his video game console sometimes. It's a lot of fun, but I'm a little sad that I have to keep acting dumb. Everyone knows I'm the smartest kid in the school, even if they don't want to admit it.
