If you have a good voice, deciding what to do in a talent show can be pretty simple. Choose a popular song or one that is special to you. You can sing a cappella or sing along with a CD or an instrument. Get a group of other people together to sing with you.
If you know how to play the piano, guitar, flute, violin, or clarinet, show off your skills. If you don't play an instrument, gather a group of friends and play homemade instruments. Make drums out of coffee cans, bells out of flower pots, and shakers out of gourds. Make up a song with your percussion band.
Whether you know how to dance or not, if it's your passion, put together your own dance recital. Choose a favorite song and choreograph your own routine. Or you can imitate a dance routine from your favorite music video. For even more fun, assemble a group of friends, dress them in tutus, and tell them to perform the silliest dances they can think of.
Think of some jokes on your own, or tell funny stories about things that have happened to you, your family, or your friends. If you have a talent for impersonating people, choose famous people to impersonate, or do friendly impersonations of people you know.
If you're into acting, recite a monologue from your favorite play. Dress up as the character for added effect. Better yet, get a group together and perform a scene from a play. You might even act out a scene from a famous television show, such as "Seinfeld" or "Friends."
