What is the show After MASH about?

The show After MASH is an American comedy-drama television series that aired from September 26, 1983 to February 28, 1985, on CBS. It was a sequel to the popular series MASH, which had ended its 11-season run the previous year. After MASH followed the lives of some of the characters from the original series as they adjusted to life back in the United States after the Korean War.

The main characters of After MASH were Hawkeye Pierce (Alan Alda), B.J. Hunnicutt (Mike Farrell), Charles Emerson Winchester III (David Ogden Stiers), and Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan (Loretta Swit). The series also featured new characters, such as Dr. Roxanne Turner (Kate Mulgrew), a trauma surgeon who became a love interest for Hawkeye; Dr. Craig "Doc" McIntyre (Harry Morgan), the chief of surgery at the hospital; and Colonel Luther Rizzo (Robert Pierce), the hospital's commanding officer.

After MASH was set at the fictional Rosie O'Grady's Veterans Administration Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. The series followed the characters as they dealt with the challenges of adjusting to civilian life, including finding jobs, dealing with their families, and coping with the memories of their experiences in Korea.

The show was a commercial success, and it was ranked in the top 20 most-watched shows during its first two seasons. However, the ratings declined in its third and final season, and it was canceled in 1985.
