Why was Hannibal a bad leader?

There is no evidence to suggest that Hannibal was a poor leader. In fact, he is widely considered to be one of the greatest military leaders in history. He repeatedly defeated Roman armies despite being outnumbered and outmatched in resources, and he came very close to defeating Rome itself.
