What is the resolution to Princess Diaries?

In the first movie, Mia Thermopolis, a socially awkward teenager, discovers that she is the heir to the throne of Genovia, a small European country. She is groomed by her grandmother, the Queen, to take her place as the ruler of the country. Mia, with the help of her friends and her grandmother, overcomes the challenges and insecurities that come with her newfound role and eventually becomes a beloved and respected monarch.

In the second movie, Mia is preparing to take over the throne of Genovia. However, complications arise when she discovers that she has a rival claimant to the throne, a long-lost cousin named Nicholas. Mia must work to prove her worthiness as the ruler of Genovia and learn to trust her instincts and abilities as a leader. Ultimately, she overcomes these obstacles and is crowned Queen of Genovia, ruling alongside Nicholas as a co-monarch.
