Who do the venticelli represent in play amadeus?

In the play "Amadeus", Mozart's jealousy and hatred of Salieri is often referred to as the venticelli and plays an important role in shaping the themes, conflicts and tragic ending of the play. Although the term venticelli literally means "little winds", it symbolises the whispers of jealousy and envious intentions that torment Mozart throughout the story.
