The crucible What is Proctors response when Abigail speaks of her love for him?

When Abigail speaks of her love for him, Proctor is dismissive and rebukes her. He tries to reason with her, reminding her that she is young and that he is married, but Abigail becomes increasingly persistent. She accuses him of being a hypocrite and eventually threatens to ruin him if he does not reciprocate her feelings. In response, Proctor becomes even more dismissive, calling her a "whore" and ordering her to leave.
