Can you bring food and drinks in the old Globe Theatre?

There was no such thing as food or drinks being allowed inside the old Globe Theater. Theaters during the 16th century did not consist of seats nor concessions. In fact, the idea of refreshments during a performance did not exist until the 18th century. Theatergoers during the Elizabethan era bought food from peddlers just outside the playhouses.
