Open Windows Media Player.
Connect the USB cable that came with the Sansa to the computer. Connect the other end to the MP3 player. A message should appear on the player screen that says USB Connected.
Click on the Sansa model which should now be listed on the left hand menu under "Library." What appears should be a list of icons that separates the music into different categories like Genre, Artist, and Album.
Find the Folders icon and double click it. This is the main folder where all the songs are stored. Double clicking again unveils all of the individual folders. Double clicking will open the folders as will right clicking and choosing "Open."
Delete any of the files that you no longer want by right clicking the file and selecting "Delete." Sansa automatically organizes the music by Artist, Song Title, Genre, and Year.
Click "Songs" under "Library" on the left.
Highlight the song you want to add to the playlist, then drag it to the right hand space under "Untitled Playlist." To reorder the songs, click and drag the file up or down in the Playlist window.
Click the "Untitled Playlist" button, then "Save Playlist As."
Name the playlist and click OK. The playlist should now be at the top of the list on the left.
Click the "Sync" tab at the top. Click and drag the playlist to the playlist window and then click "Start Sync" at the bottom. Any songs already on the player will simply be added to the playlist while the others will be added to the player.
